Our Elementary Program at Montessori Academy at St. John's
nurtures the intellectual curiosity and social development of children aged 5 to 11 years. In this engaging, child-centered environment, students are encouraged to explore their interests deeply, develop critical thinking skills, and become independent, lifelong learners.
The Elementary classroom offers an integrated curriculum that includes language, mathematics, science, history, geography, and the arts. Through hands-on materials, collaborative projects, and research, students connect concepts across subjects, fostering a holistic understanding of the world around them.
Through inquiry-based learning and exploration, children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our Montessori guides encourage curiosity, creativity, and a passion for discovery, helping students build a strong foundation for a love of learning.
The multi-age classroom fosters a supportive community where children learn from and mentor each other. Emphasis on respect, empathy, and cooperation creates a compassionate environment where every child feels valued and understood.
Our program emphasizes independence, self-direction, and personal responsibility. Students are encouraged to set goals, manage their time, and work both independently and collaboratively. This approach develops a sense of accountability and pride in their work, preparing them for future academic and life challenges.

"My children have been part of the Montessori Academy at St John's for 4 years. We love the safe and caring environment. The teachers are excellent and it is very strong academically."
"We are proud parents of Montessori Academy at St John’s, having entrusted the care and primary education of both our children to this wonderful school. Our eldest began attending MASJ at two years old and graduated from 5th grade in 2021. By the time our youngest graduates from 5th grade in 2025, we will have been part of the MASJ community for over 13 years. We couldn’t have asked for a more safe, loving, and nurturing environment during these formative years. The educators and administration are incredibly caring and attentive, deserving credit for fostering a positive culture that emphasizes mindfulness from an early age. The level of education is evident in the way the children carry themselves and communicate. Over our time with the school, we’ve witnessed not only the blossoming of our children but also that of their friends and peers, all growing in self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-control as a result of their time at MASJ."
